MDU Drop Cable
Waveoptics® MDU Drop Cable is ideal for FTTH applications, due to its flexibility, robustness and light weight. The optical fibers are positioned in the center of the cable under a 900um tight buffer tube. 2.95 mm and 4.7 mm outer diameter configurations available.
These cables are also widely used for drop cable assembly production, where consistency and uniformity are required for fast terminations to be used with standard cable termination tooling.
Water blocking aramid yarn as a strength member to provide excellent tensile strength as well as protection against water penetration.

FTTH Cable
Waveoptics® All-Dielectric FTTH Drop Cable is an economical, small factor cable, optimal for indoor/outdoor applications and is ideal for short distance external use. The flat design offers easy stripping with no tools, simplifying the installation process. This cable is not CPR compliant.
The optical fiber is positioned in the center of the cable, two parallel KFRP´s (Kevlar Fiber Reinforced Plastic) or FRP´s (Fiber Reinforced Plastic) rods located on both sides as reinforcement against crushing and traction forces, protecting the fibers.
LSZH outer jacket offers great flame retardant properties, with low smoke and zero halogen materials, preventing it from being toxic, while providing UV and chemical resistance.
